The Rocky Mountain Avaya Users Group (RMAUG) was established in 1993, and meets quarterly to provide Avaya users opportunities for professional development, knowledge sharing, and networking. Membership is free, and any user of Avaya equipment or services may join.
Quarterly meetings may be sponsored by Avaya Partners and other Telecomm Vendors. Sponsorship provides vendors with the opportunity to educate RMAUG members concerning the technical areas in which they have expertise. Meeting attendance usually ranges from 30 to 50 members, depending on the topic. Sponsors are encouraged to invite any of their local customers – whether or not they are RMAUG members!
The sponsor’s information is listed on the RMAUG website with the meeting agenda and a link to the sponsor’s website once sponsorship has been approved. RMAUG will also send direct email to members announcing the meeting, and will provide meeting information to our Avaya representatives for further distribution. Presentations - RMAUG members are interested in education on technical topics- “Sales” presentations are discouraged. The meeting format outlined below allows for approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours of vendor presentations which can be arranged as desired.
Food - The sponsor is responsible for providing continental breakfast and lunch. RMAUG can coordinate food arrangements and submit them to the sponsor for approval and payment, or the sponsor may make arrangements directly. Registered attendance counts will be provided one week prior to the meeting.
Door Prizes: Although RMAUG does not provide sponsors with member contact information, it is appropriate to ‘pass the hat’ for business cards to be used for sponsor-provided door prize drawings, etc.
